Ruairi nodded. They didn't have to go visit any Gorons now, they were busy! With the ice mission! And if the only two paths they could see were these options, it was better to take this one. Surely it would be the right one leading up to this… Temple. If they had to transport ice from there, it was going to need a proper road, right? But the snow kept falling, and the paths would soon be swallowed up, if no one else kept them open. At first Ruairi had worried about the wagon, but now he had to wonder if they would be able to even walk if there ended up being too much snow. The falling snow was showing no signs of slowing down, however.

And that other Goron they had seen wasn't the only one with issues, either. As they kept walking, they came across another… Encased in ice. Only his head was still poking out, and that… Didn't look like normal freezing. The Rito didn't consider anything strange about the weather – like Eve said, it was winter, and they were climbing up a mountain. But according to the Goron… Something was off. He did agree that the weather was probably getting worse. The wind had been picking up. But instead of it being natural, the Goron was certain something in the temple was doing that!

"Hmm… If something is wrong with the temple, maybe that is why the store hasn't been getting ice, either. Or something," Ruairi hummed. That would make sense. He didn't seem to be too worried about freezing Gorons or the Kokiri getting really excited to use a hammer to free one from their icy prison, as he pondered about this new revelation.
"Well, we're going up there! So I'm sure we'll find out just what is happening at the temple and if it has anything to do with the weather. We must make haste before the weather gets even worse and we're the next ice sculptures around here!"

Eve looked pensive for a bit. She had really thought their little quest would be worth it and pretty easy to do because of the random comments about ice she had heard. She didn't consider the entire scenario and debacle had really been centered around some major crisis inside the temple, that now they were going to have to solve bare handed.

"You might be right Ruairi. No wonder they weren't getting their shipments. . ." Eve responded, thoughtfully but kind of annoyed with herself.

As she started cracking the poor Goron out of his ice shell, the Kokiri thought about how the store was functioning without cold tea. Or hot tea. She did kind of take a lot of their tea. She was sure they had plenty hidden in the back somewhere. That's how stores work, they hide everything you can't immediately see in the back. All the time, for everything.

"You're welcome goron guy. I have developed object permanence issues." she responded gleefully. That last thing was way out of pocket.

She saw that the Goron was free and, likely with the strength he had used to bite his own head out of the shell he smashed the rest fairly easily. Logically his original problem was sitting down for any length of time in this mess. But without much else to do or say, the pair drifted quickly away from the Goron. All three of them pushed with great effort through the growing winds. At the point of turning her head back, Eve saw that the Goron was going the same way they were. Maybe he wanted to help instead of going home. He hadn't really proclaimed anything yet. But he would be very useful for information the closer they got to the temple. . .

Ruairi had crossed his arms as he nodded along. Yes, of course. That made perfect sense! Some kind of temple issue with the ice that had stopped the shipments. Eve focused on getting the Goron out of ice, but once that was done, they had to keep moving. If people were already freezing over, it was very possible that they would be the next victims, if they didn't get this under control soon. The air didn't feel that cold to him, though. Yes, he had a thick coat on, but the air didn't feel that nippy when it came to his face, either. Was something else happening here than just a mere temperature drop?

The Rito was quick to get back on the road and continue along the path. The snow had started building a thicker layer, his boots sinking in deeper. The wind had picked up again, blasting his face with freezing shards of snow. Now that definitely felt cold. It was getting harder to see, so it was no surprise that Ruairi had managed to miss the Goron walking along with them until he actually turned around to look.
"Wh– h-hey, we're going to the temple! And we are professionals. We can't just have anyone tagging along with us, you know!" He spoke to the Goron, and it was hard to say if his words were very heroic and worried about the safety of a bystander… Or if he just didn't want the responsibility of someone getting hurt on their watch. Or if the mere idea of babysitting someone annoyed him.

The ignorant Goron continued along with them, purposefully curious about something going on. Ruairi and Eve were already done with him. The two of them greatly approached a sort of ice bridge, narrow but wide enough for them both to lay head to toe across its width.

With brevity, Eve in the leading position was tossed high and backward. A sudden gust of frosty, snowy wind thrust the girl way into the air. It was weirdly a specific blast as well, the wind not quite hitting the other two. Landing somewhere on the bridge, Eve pulled herself up and shed some small shells of ice that had formed from the blast. She seemed especially annoyed from this.

"There's something going on! I can't be more specific but something is happening!" Eve insisted, turning red from inability to articulate what was happening.

Above them, out on the ridge in front of the temple's summit, was some invisible "something" popping out pointed gusts of wind. The Goron next to them seemed deep in thought, contemplating what might be on their horizon. . .

Ruairi frowned. The Goron looked like he didn't even hear, ignoring all of his warnings and worries! How rude. There was no response and the Goron just kept following them without a worry in the world.
"Well, I warned you Don't blame us if something happens to you," he huffed and turned to face the direction they were walking in. The Rito was now an expert at dungeons and temples, and the problems within! At least, according to himself. Ignoring the fact that it wasn't too long since he stepped into a trap-filled temple for the very first time himself, of course. Such a thing didn't even fit into his memory anymore.

The cliffs no longer remained as close to them, slowly and steadily giving them a wider path until they flared out into a problem clearing… That unfortunately was a deep pit from where they were standing. Ruairi had to shield his face from the icy wind, the visibility quite poor as the snow kept falling, like a white curtain that was pulled closed in front of them. He could see a land bridge continuing over the pit – but he couldn't say where the bottom of the pit was, as it disappeared into the whiteness. There were no guard rails in place, either. Maybe it wouldn't have been that bad, if the first few steps Eve took didn't suddenly force her up into the air with an amazing gust of wind! A wind like that would easily push either of them off the bridge and into the abyss – and the Kokiri was lucky that she landed back on solid ground, even if that meant she was forced back.

But despite how strong that wind was, the Rito did not feel it hit against him. Sure, he had braced himself, but… But it didn't make much sense. He should have felt it. Even Eve sounded rather confused by what had just happened.
"Well you are going to have to be a bit more specific! What happened?" Ruairi asked, eyeing the bridge up ahead. He couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. There was no protection from the wind that they could use, either… Actually, maybe the falling snow was acting a bit strange up ahead?
"Is it just me, or is the snow falling… Well, not falling all the way to the ground there?"

He didn't quite know how to put it into words either, like the hypocrite he was.

Smooshing herself against the snowy ground once again, Eve put her two brain cells to work. The little gears turned as she tried to comprehend the addition of the singular blowing wind and the small area of no snowfall together into a single numerical concept. Soon enough, as the Goron and Ruairi looked at her weird hypnotic face, she started to piece it together. Little pictures of snowmen appeared in her mind's eyes.

"There's someone or something there." she announced. "We didn't get the magic lens thing to see it though."

She remembered there being some kind of idiotic snow creature being rumored to come from this exact area. Suddenly her expression changed. No. It couldn't be. Eve, having lived for a dreadfully long time, had in turn experienced dreadfully long amounts of these awful recurring biblical characters. Knowing where she was, and what was happening, it could probably only be a single one of them as well.

"It's Gorman Jones the Moblin Holiday's Magical Snowman Goron." she sighed, spitting disappointment and disinterest through the little gap in her front teeth.

"HO HO HO!" screamed a booming voice from above. "You're right! An' you're not getting past this bridge, goro!"

    Belligerent Recurring Snow Golem
    GORMAN JONES

"Not right now. We can't fight him to death do you even see how big he is?"

"I'm not letting you pass! A promise is a festive promise after all! HO HO HO!" screamed the invisible towering creature.

"Now do you get it, Ruairi? Do you see what I have to put up with on a daily basis?! I never catch a break!!" Eve screamed, struggling to stand back up.

Ruairi squinted. Though the mere suggestion that someone would have been standing there should have been wild… He was starting to feel like he had to actually agree with that. The way the snow acted, it most definitely seemed like it was outlining a vaguely humanoid shape. Now he had no idea what Eve meant with some magical lens, but if this person was invisible… Were they a wizard?!

The Rito already had tensed up as he prepared to handle the repercussions of this revelation. The revelation that is was someone Eve knew was less impactful – though what did she say? Holiday Moblin…? No, Moblin… Holiday? He didn't really get it. But the mystical wizard person spoke – could Gorons even be wizards? They didn't feel particularly wizardly. But this one was big, invisible and could create gusts of wind. Probably.

"Well, no, I can't see anything!" Ruairi replied to the Kokiri, being the smartass he was. Of course this was somehow Eve's fault. He could just squint his eyes as he stared ahead, not even knowing if he was making eye contact with this… Goron Jones.
"Well… Why?" He called out to the Goron blocking the road.
